CST Exploration Day

Learn basic CST concepts and benefits of this gentle, manual technique

6 CEUs (NCBTMB, New York State Approved), No pre-requisite required

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, manual therapy that facilitates release of restrictions in the whole body, including the membranes and fluids surrounding the brain and spinal cord, encouraging the body's natural ability to heal itself.

This is a one-day introductory class offered to massage therapists, physical therapists, medical professionals, or anyone in the movement or healing professions, as well as general audiences. It is intended to provide a general understanding of this very gentle manual technique and a sample experience of what the therapy feels like. Class participants will learn:

  • The origins, philosophy and basic principles of CST
  • How to listen to the craniosacral rhythm
  • Basic anatomy and physiology of the craniosacral system
  • The gentleness of the touch by first hand experience and demonstration
  • Clinical applications and patient populations that may benefit from CST
  • How this work can integrate with other medical treatments

Students will receive a 20-page CST study guide as well as a brief overview of our CST curriculum with beginning through advanced CST classes and information on our CSTA-CP certification program.

This class can be delivered upon request to hospitals, clinics, medical education facilities, associations, private practices and anywhere there is an interest in beginning a continuing education program incorporating CST.
