This class moves the understanding of the structural continuum of the craniosacral system forward. We learn the bones of the face and the hard palate, their individual movement and their relationship to each other and the cranium as a whole. We will explore in detail the sphenoid, highly regarded as the keystone of the cranium by William G. Sutherland, D.O. We will study Sutherland's work regarding the aberrant movement patterns of the sphenoid and its reflection throughout the craniosacral system.
The attending student now has a complete working knowledge of the craniosacral mechanism and all of the structures directly affecting it. The student will be able to apply the principles of light touch, intention and tissue release to facilitate the body’s ability to heal itself.
